His voice had a trill similar to that of Neil Oliver...this endeared him to every woman & girl-child in the Highlands. The threat of gorst & thistle would not impede the efforts of those enamoured of his brogue, they cupped their ears & listened to his bonny voice as he hummed the Highland March. The lasses fell before him in a swoon, thus, he needed a pellet gun & a dog to protect himself with. Sadly, not a single fair-maid ever captured his heart & his ghost can still be seen trodding through the heath...searching...searching for a love he never knew (as he dedicated his life to early exploration of the Loch Ness). Also & in fact, he owned a Grade 1 listed church/piggery which eventually sold to Aleister Crowley & later, to Jimmy Page. The church recently burned to the ground, but the Scottish lad is buried in the churchyard which still stands, albeit in a state of ruin.
